Devon Folk Band Gigs

Listen Now!

  • For parties to remember!

Welcome to our world. Come in and nose around, listen to our songs, have a look at our reviews and imagine how we’d wow your party!

We’re a professional band based in Devon and willing to travel, well, anywhere to provide you and your guests with a night to remember.

We’re Eat The Rich. If you’re fed up with bland party bands that all sound the same then you’ve come to the right place. We’re loud, we’re raucous and we appeal across the generations - from eight to eighty we’ve had them dancing like loons. Don’t take our word for it – click here to see what other people think.
  •

We take folk music, punk, country and good old rock’n’roll – and then shove it through a blender with our name on it. And we’re sure you’ll love the results!

We do covers you wouldn’t expect, some good old standards that are always a hit and even liven it up with one or two of our own compositions if the setting is right.

Check out our song list here

  • ...But above all it’s about giving you the party everyone will talk about for years to come; whether it’s a wedding, an anniversary, birthday – hell, we’ll even do divorces! – we’ll deliver a great night.

The emphasis may be on having a good time, but as we’re a professional band you’ll get a professional service from us. We travel with our own PA, lighting and backline and we will discuss your requirements on an individual basis (i.e. specific songs, extra lighting etc). Each quote is tailor-made to your event and designed to give you excellent value for money. Want to find out more?  In the meantime, we hope you enjoy looking at our site and listening to our music.

PS: There’s also a CD available for just £4.99 – told you we were good value!

02/02/12 - Blogs are back! Take a look at our latest goings on...........

Well, that's January over and done with, and we're happy to say that the dreaded January Blues seem to have bypassed us! It's been a very busy month. We brought the New Year in for the good patrons of The Passage House, Topsham - a very busy night with great food and drink as always (Thanks Lionel!) and our new lineup seemed to go down well with the locals.

That was then followed by a gig at the Pen & Quill in Taunton - a relatively new venue for us which is fast becoming one of our favourites. We're playing there again on the 17th March for St Patrick's day - more details next month! This gig also stood out for us as the talented Luke Denham was in attendance (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Luke-Denham-Photography/140472899382877?sk=info), and he was good enough to take our pictures! There are some fantastic (and sometimes a little frightening...) shots of us in action which are available to view on here, our Facebook page and our website.

We're pleased to say that the new line up is really taking off, and we have some very interesting covers in the pipeline! Tim has taken to his vocal duties like a blind dog to a meat market, and Dingle continues to shred to impress.

We have really brought ourselves up to the 21st century by now adding videos to our various sites online! These were taken live at the Park Hotel, Exmouth on 20th January. Thanks to Tom Gilbert for taking the time to do this, and thanks to Dingle for taking the time to upload them.
If you do happen to want a sneaky look at some of our new stuff, have a look at these videos!

So, what's for the month ahead?

Friday 10th February, we're at The Black Horse, Exeter. This will be our first gig at this popular pub, so we're looking forward to that, and hopefully they'll like us too. We start the night at 9pm. This gig has been well promoted, but please note that it is NOT on 11th February as previously stated!

We're then onto some of our regular venues; The Twyford, Tiverton on Friday 17th February, starting at 9pm, and then onto Kitty O'Hanlon's, Plymouth on the 18th. Again start time for this one is 9pm.

So, a busy month we've had, and a busy one we've got coming, so get on out there and come see us and let us know what you think of the new material!

See you soon!
